After the success of the spring American tour, giving them the
opportunity to play all around California, and getting the
nationwide U.S. distribution of their “Plastic Pills for Happy
Passengers” with legendary Ryco Records ( Frank Zappa, King
Crimson..) , one of the newest Italian alternative rock acts will
play on London stages.

The Savalas! is an alternative rock band from Umbria, Italy, born in 2005, mysteriously inspired
by the American actor, Telly Savalas.

The Savalas's music explores a great variety of musical territories and atmospheres in a free and

peculiar style. That is due to the influence of literature, visual arts and to the attention on social

issues, associated to their sound. “Invisibili” the track that led them to the final phase of the

national amnesty international contest Voci per la Libertà – A song for Amnesty International, for

example, focuses the hypocrisy around migration phenomena. Both this track and “No way out”

have been released on the compilation of the Xth edition of the contest.

The Savalas! developed an intense live experience, playing around Italy and taking part to

festivals, supporting foreign bands and performing in opening acts for national big artists, in front

of large audiences.

The band records and releases a new EP 'Plastic Pills for Happy Passengers', in April 08. To

promote it, tours in Italy and in U.S.A. in May /June 08 playing in great venues, such as Whisky agogo, and in places like Hollywood and Las Vegas.
This happens because their first Ep 'Hot Dog For Frank' catches the attention of an American

label, Above Ground Records, that chose 'Sorrunding you' for the 2007 promotional compilation.
In Italy they are supported by the indie Roman record label Altipiani.
